Yeah and your bike riding days will be limited as you seek permission because you will be busy doing chores
god, what happens to blokes through the years " seeking permission" once we where warriors, now most are little mouses at the beck and call of the female mood swing . makes me mad. take the power back before it's to late gentlemen. these woman are taking over. don't do this don't do that, to fing noisy, turn it down. bloody hell.
I get the "what do you mean go for a ride, you just go around with no purpose wasting fuel. You should just stay at home and burn money".
For anyone I know who is gettiing married, I like to give a thoughtful gift - usually, it's a DVD or Blu-Ray of the film, The War Of The Roses. I love happy endings, me.
I don't know if it's been said, but some open pipes for your bike. THEN ask 'em to complain about" noise. Or tell them to get a real job
1. make hay while the sun shines 2. if i told you you couldnt ride your bike to work, would you believe that i had any reason to play a part in your decision as to whether you should ride your bike to work or not....?
Normally use the yam as its quieter than 848/termis.. One morning I had to use the Duc at seven for work... I had just started it and ready to pull off when an elderly chap up the road walked out with a wave of his walking stick to get my attention ...hear we go..bollocking time..! Oh no,,! We wanted to tell me about the Ducatis he had in the early years...ended up late for work..bless..
When I had a Kawasaki 250 two-stroke in Australia for a few months, it was garaged in a covered area which was lower than the street and under the flats I lived in. The ramp up to street level was quite steep, and the bike possessing no torque at all, you had to give it a severe revving to get up the ramp and off to work. So I assume I pissed off the neighbours on a daily basis as I revved the thing and screamed up the ramp. I always felt guilty about this, but the times I tried to use less beans, it would stall on the ramp (and I wasn't going to try and push it up). At least I didn't go to work at stupid o' clock. No one ever complained, but even if they had, there wouldn't have been much I could have done about it.
I make a decision not to use my bike when I am on an early start (06:15) as it doesn't seem fair to the neighbours hearing the termi's. Likewise if I'm working till three in the morning, bike stays at home. But hey, I like to think I've a little compassion.
Neighbours can be frustrating, we have all sorts of parking problems around here with vans (usually) abandoned for days meaning we have difficulty parking but you have just got to get on with it and not work your self up. On a serious note I would knock on her door and explain that the bikes legal and you are doing your best to keep the noise down but are open to ideas to reduce the impact on her, if she denies it (which she might anyway) wait and see if the complaints continue and maybe put a note through your neighbours doors telling them the same and asking them to talk to you if it's an issue for them so you can try to reduce the problem for them. Otherwise ignore them and keep the noise down as much as you can, if things get nasty get some term's.
