Hi All, Just a quick hello from the Borders, well Holland actually as I work here during the week! How is it you start these things again? Ah yes................... "My name is Chris and I'm a Ducaholic" I have 12 of the bug*ers in various states of (dis)repair! Ranging from my mint 7k miles 996R, nicely (IMHO) modded 1098R track bike, a highly modded 748R running carbo/mag everything and a tuned 1198 motor, Monster S4RS (which I'm in the process of supercharging at the mo') and right through to a selection of frames, engines and associated boxes of bits marked 749, 748R, 996, 916, 748, 851 that I will get round to......................eventually! My secret shame is that I also have a soft spot for early R1s, so have a couple of 98 models as well, oh yes, and a track Honda SP1, a Cagiva Mito with a Yammy 350 YPVS motor fitted in it plus I'm pretty sure my old RGV250 is still at the back of my mate's shed as well? Hmmmm, reading that back you can tell that: a) We have no kids b) I can't resist a "bargain", even when it patently isn't! c) I can't leave anything unmodified (except the 996R, but I've been struggling to leave it alone for 5 years and it's proving more difficult as each day passes!) d) I'm quite greedy! The Wife runs an 848 and a Monster S4 as well so bikes in general and Ducati's in particular figure quite highly in our household! Cheers y'all..................................C
Wow!! Just wow!!!! My friend lives in Bonchester Bridge near Jed, we have been up the last two years and spend a fair bit of time around Selkirk/Moffat/Peebles and did lots of the routes around there this year. My 848 evo was perfect around those roads, the 675r requires more gear changes on those twisty roads!
