My first set of tyres lasted 6500 km. Disapointing numbers with Pirellis. I am going to chance to Michelin Pilot road 4 gt ot Pirelli Angel gt. Any comments? I was very happy with Pilot road 4 with my 2012 model Multi. I have no previous experience about Pirellis.
I'm giving serious thought to dual-compound sport/tour tyres as I can't see myself doing true off-road. What's the latest Bridgestone?

I've been thinking the same, big fan of T30s, never tried PR4s or Angels but I have to say I am mighty impressed with the scorpions, the originals on my 2014 bike where awful but the latest ones on the DVT are very impressive, out last weekend in wales and got caught out in the Monsoon which was Friday and Sunday and they were great in the wet as well as the dry.
Have you considered Bridgestone T30 Evo's? Very good in the wet and plenty of feel. If you are looking for something more sporty then I would suggest the S20 Evo's. I used these for 5 track days on my recently sold 2012 GSXR 750 and they had loads of grip. Used them with and without tyre warmers and always performed. I will probably put a set on my new DVT for a bit of track day fun. For road riding though, the T30 Evo's are excellent. P.S. I don't work for Bridgestone or sell them, I just like them
I have found Metzler Sportec M5 and M7 tyres to be really good on other bikes. Has anyone tried them on the Multi? They're dual compound puppies too. Great grip in dry and wet, but you may not get high miles out of 'em.
How long distance have you done with Angels or Continental road attack evos? With Pr 4 gt I did 10000 km easily.
I see you're in south London Paul. Where did you get your PR4s and was £205 the fitted price? I've been quoted £230 for a new pair by that tyre place in Kennington. Can't remember their name.
It's probably not relevant but I asked for Angel GT's to be fitted to my BMW but they refused saying BMW have not passed them for load bearing on the side walls. If you do a lot of heavy touring maybe a consideration although the Beemer was a much heavier bike to be fair. They would only fit the stock supply Metzelers which I didn't like or PR 4's to stay within my warranty. I have used the PR 4's on other bikes and have found them to be great so I went for those. However, I have to say I am also impressed so far with the Scorpions on the Multi. So much so that up to now I will probably refit them when they eventually run out. Coped with everything up to now without problem and plenty of miles in them - so far. That might change as might my opinion of course as the tyre wears but so far so good.
Good luck with that! My original Scorps lasted 3,500 miles - just like Pirelli Phantoms used to on my Jota in the 80s. They were actually good tyres though, I agree (as were Phantoms), Just didn't last very long. How many miles have you put on them? I have had PR4s on for 7,500 miles now and can't fault them, wet or dry.
