Just fitted one to my 1098R. I'm reliably informed they're good bits of kit. Has anyone else here fitted one and if so, what are they like? It seems they lift your ass 20mm or so and seem super grippy.
I had one but had to sell it on as I'm a bit of a short arse and it just punted me to high and didn't feel comfortable. As a seat though it was great, I was gutted that it just wasn't for me. Firm and nice and grippy. Although there seems to be differing opinions on the aesthetics I really liked the look and the way the front of the saddle covered the join where the panels at the front of the tank meet. It seems that if you 5' 7" like me they are not much use but if your 6' or over they are the dogs doo dahhs
Yup, I noticed it was a tad higher which I guess will improve comfort a touch and take a bit of crouch out my leg position.... Can't wait to give it a jolly good testing! Thanks for the reply
My pleasure, enjoy I'll be really surprised if you are on the taller side and don't like it. Oh I also think the build quality on it is great as well Pity I had to go back to my foam seat, which although very good its not a patch on the Superpole
Super pole seat is the best mod I ever did to my bike. I'm 6ft 4 so it helps having the extra leg room but it holds you in place much more as well.
As above, nice bit of kit for me, however my fellow 848 owning neighbour is somewhat shorter than me & didn't get on with it at all
I also have the superpole seat on mine. As said, its great for taller riders and I am also 6ft 4". It is somewhat harder on the bottom though but will help save your nuts from squashing on the tank whilst braking.
Be careful where it touches the tank, after a while it rubs the paint off. If you go back to a normal seat you can see the damage..
I bought one a while back and rode to Germany with it, absolutely fine, best benefit was not sliding balls first into the tank all the time !!!
