1200 Flamingo Corse Solo Seat

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by gregc, Aug 8, 2015.

  1. Just thought I would share some pictures of my new Flamingo Corse Solo Seat- it arrived within a week & looks like it could have come from the factory. Only thing I have done is stick a Ducati Corse gel badge over their Flamingo Corse logo. Lots of colours to choose from on their website but think the white with red stripe suits mine best. Only problem was that their website was only in Italian so thank god for Google Translate!

  4. Hi AirCon
Just checked your link & you are correct. Looks like it's now 20% off too- I got 15% off by ordering by the end of July- I should have waited! They do the seat in lots of colours but if you have a Pikes Peak, I thought that this was the best option. The White & red is gloss paint & the black is satin finish. The seat trim on the back matches the side of the riders seat so looks like it came from Ducati. You have to register to order & that is the only trouble I had as I did not know what United Kingdom was in Itallian: Regno Unito

  5. I had to e-mail them a couple of times about registration, got a quick and helpful response

  6. Hi Greg, That looks really good, useful storage as well. Now to ordering. Can't seem to get around the VAT number and Tax Code bit on the order form. I have stated that I'm a private buyer, but it's a compulsory bit.
    Any help greatly appreciated

  7. I think I just made mine up,

  10. Can you fit anything useful inside it? It appears to be hollow with a large hole on the underside. I'd like to securely carry rain gear and a first aid kit without keeping the side cases on it indefinitely.

  11. Lots of space inside to store stuff- I got my padlock & chain plus two helmet bags & two side stand pucks no problem. I can take a picture of you want to see the space.

  12. Greg, you should be on commission! I was aware of this, but seeing decent, real world pictures of one has led to me ordering one yesterday for my birthday on the 25th.

Website is not very clear, there are two red ones that appear the same, same price but different part numbers. After much studying, the black part on one is gloss, the other matt. Gone for the matt one as it matches the black plastics at the back exactly. Jon.

  13. Wish I was on commission! Just good to share something that looks good on the bike (in my opinion). There are other single seat covers out there that do not look as "factory" & cost more. I think you went for the right colour combo red & matt black rather than the gloss black. It should hopefully arrive in time for your birthday

  14. Happy Birthday to me yesterday!!!!

Not cheap at 300 euros, but excellent quality, fast delivery and really well wrapped. Lots of bling per £ in my book? Jon.

  15. I hope they are working on a DVT version.

  16. That's really nice, I want! How long was delivery?

  17. Managed to get one ordered after having same trouble as Greg i.e. not knowing the Italian for U.K.
Started e mail conversation with Marco at he store which has eventually done the trick. Thanks again for the prompt Greg
