749 Termi

  1. hi has any one any idea I've been offered a termi for my 749 can I run it without an ecu change

  2. I'm pretty sure you can. It would be best to get the fueling adjusted though. I think the purpose of the race ecu is it gives a greater tuning parameter.

  3. Do yourself a favour and get your existing ECU mapped to suit the Termi. Worth every penny... £425 from CJS Racing near Bristol - best money I've ever spent on my 999. Not very near to you but there are other options like Cornerspeed in Nottingham?

  4. Or £35 from ChrisW.

  6. Thirty five quid sounds better I've not got a lot of money in the bike so want to keep costs down

  7. Who is Chris w for remap that's cheap and we're is he

  8. ChrisW is a member on here and he's able to load the DP map (that is supplied with the Termi can) onto a standard ECU which you can just post to him. This is a simple and cost-effective solution for people who've sourced a Termi can but don't have the DP Ecu.

That's not the same (obviously) as a re-map with CJS, who will spend a day with your bike on a dyno and create a custom map (for each cylinder) and get it running as good as possible.

  9. Wow it's I suppose all down to cost at the end of the day I've only got 2500 in the bike off a friend that was needing a quick sale I don't want to go big bucks on it as I have other bikes

  10. ECU reflash.

Done my 1098s, a rocket ship with supersonuc midrange, butter smoith fueling. Do it!

  11. Yeah 35 quid thing sounds fine for what you're after and is a great price for a reflash!
