748/916/996/998 Ride Height Tool

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Skidmark66, Aug 7, 2015.

  1. Would anyone have one of these tools which bolt to the frame to set ride height. I would either like to borrow one or get some dimensions for a mate of mine who wants to get a couple made up. If any one has one for any of the other bikes in the Ducati range I could also ask to see if he would make them too.

  3. I have one you can borrow but it's in Bexleyheath.
Have you tried Alec at Pro Team?

  4. There's a thread on here with all the dimensions somewhere. Went round it less than 12 months ago.

  5. I took that dwg into the local laser cutting place in Bradford and they cut me a couple out of 4mm St/St. Only charged about £38 each so that wasn't bad. For fitting it to the frame I just used the MPL frame plugs and it worked a treat. Just as a note, if you have the two small holes where the frame plugs go reduced to 6mm, you can just use the frame plugs. Like I said, it worked fine but wouldn't line up on a 748 we tried it on. The spacing between the fixing points were 3 or 4 mm out.

  6. Look at the above post ;)

  8. I have one but personally I would suggest you make sure your rear ride height adjuster will adjust and then work with that by increasing in small increments. I have my 748 turning beautifully now but still with plenty of stability.
