I am not sure which tyre is best for me. I currently run the Rosso 2 tyres and like them there sticky round the corners and feel confident. But recently been recommended the angel GT's What do use think better all round tyre for me a weekend warrior with possibly a couple of visits to the track a year?
If that's front and rear, then that is a very reasonable price indeed! Used about 3 sets of the Angels on the MTS. Stayed away from Michelin for a while, was not a fan of the PR3, but have fitted the PR4. And they are a huge improvement over previous Michelin in all respects.and i would say a better feel than Angels
£190 fit... Christ! P&H quoted me this when I emailed them the other day. Ended up ordering some scorpion 2's online for £191 and paying £30 to get them fit and balanced on loose wheels. I'd have snapped their hand off at £190! P&H - "The trail 2’s come in at £227.27 plus £68.70 fitting and the Angel GT’s come in at 1p more, if you were to supply your own tyres you would be looking at £68.70 for fitting them."
Sorry lads he got back to me he meant the Angel ST not the GT don't think these are as good as the GT's. He said that the GT's are more for heavier bikes than mine and the ST would be better suited for the hypermotard 796. Is this true or would I be better with the GT's.
So guys use will problably think why even ask lol I ended up going for the Metzler M7RR tyres after reading reviews and help from Ducati Glasgow. I needed a tyre for the weekends, the odd track day and for my trip to the TT again to handle the mountain course. They just seemed like the perfect match for me. Going in to get them fitted on Friday and they are £243 fitted. See how I get on with these.
I've had the angel St and they were great. Done a trip to TT and a few laps on them and no problems at all. Needed new tyres before trip to northwest and tour of Ireland and had some conti Road attacks fitted for £170. They've been as good as angels for grip and probably a more controlled turn in but don't know how long they'll last.
