Reluctant sale of my immaculate Rolex Sea Dweller. The Sea Dweller is like the big brother of the more common Sub Mariner. The crystal is thicker, the case is heavier and has an automatic helium escape valve. The bracelet is the Rolex stainless steel oyster bracelet with concealed divers extension built into clasp and flip-lock safety clasp. The Sea Dweller was always a rare watch, with most dealer only receiving approx. 4 watches per year. This is the 16600 model Sea Dweller which is now a discontinued model, and no longer in production. This was the last series 16600, with the solid watch case ie: the ends of the pins holding the strap to the case are not visible. This is now seen as an appreciating classic, and one of the best stainless steel Rolex sports watches ever made. Bought new from main Rolex dealer in Derby, by myself in Feb 2005. The watch was only worn for special occasions, then 2 years ago a local specialist removed the odd mark from the case and strap. The watch was then placed in the box, and has not been worn since. The watch is supplied with all the items supplied when new by the jeweller : Outer slip box Inner green box (latest Rolex style) Booklets Warranty paper Tool kit Face protector Bezel protector Hand tags x 2 This will go on EBay next week, if there is no interest from the forum. Price is £4,300 to a forum member. EBay price will be £4,450 Buy it now. There are very few watches of this age at this price for sale. The cheaper watches are the older style with the less desirable pin case, or, watches from foreign sellers. I’m based close to Loughborough, Junction 23 M1, and can arrange for the watch to be viewed / collected. If you are not local, PM me and we can arrange to meet.
Not me but just to say it's a nice looking watch! Having just shelled out nearly £400 to have my Omega Seamaster repaired, and "accidentally" buying a Bell & Ross while waiting for it to be repaired, the wife would kill me if I bought another watch!
I have one of those ,and to the seller you will regret selling ,and to the buyer you will never regret buying!
Agreed, stunning watch, never regretted buying it. Need the funds to cover a change of house. If I sell the Rolex, I should be able to keep the bike.
I really sympathise!,I went through the same dilemma 18 months ago but managed to keep the dweller, all I can advise is the bike will depreciate a little but the sea dweller will not ,if you do decide to sell have you seen TZ UK ,it will sell in days!
Watch has to go, need the funds. Agreed that the Rolex is gaining value, almost doubled since I bought it Thanks for the link for TZ UK, was not aware of it. Looks good, will give it a try.
