899 Dealers No Longer Taking Orders For New 899s

  1. Nope.... I call photoshop.... Front wheel looks wrong...

  2. They've put some effort into the shadow and texture of the road.

That's not photoshop. They would have made it look nice.

  3. I reckon photoshop...
Front tyre looks as though its touching the radiator.
    Reg plate? strange?
Shadow looks too crisp and weird how it follows the line of the faring (as if colour of tarmac was changed; but taking care not to go over the red fairing...
Bike too upright to be on side stand?

My money is on a new 899...

No way!!!..........That can't be a Ducati, its too Fugly !!!!!!!!!

  5. This isn't photoshopped at all. It's real but looks like a bad custom from AmericaUSAland. Tail section isn't new 1299 version. All that shite on the right of the bike is untidy. Judging from other nakeds Ducati have made it would be slightly tidier.

  6. If Ducati were trying to keep a new model secret, they wouldn't write "Ducati" on the tank, no matter what else they might do.
I agree. Some sort of dire customisation from somewhere.

  7. Thats a tasteless Americans Streetfightered up 899

  8. What a waste of panigale

  9. Yuk, they would also never have those discs on even for testing.

  10. Looks like a diavel was unfaithful with both a panigale and a brutale, and no one really knows who the father is...

  11. I dropped my 848 of for belts/valve clearances at Laguna in Ashford today - they had 3 new 899's in the showroom. I guess they could be sold orders, but seems odd that they'd be there and not the workshop.

They also had an 1199R in there - stunningly pretty bike.

  12. I was in Manchester this morning and they have plenty too. Also told any updated model won't arrive in store until end of Dec

  13. Mine was in the showroom at Ducati Glasgow for about a month before I collected it and didn't have a 'Sold' sign on it or anything. Don't know if that's just the way they do it to tempt people to ask about them? Haha.

  14. I think so, my local dealer said they had one that 'isn't allocated' so I'm sure there are a few around (although mostly in red which is fine with me) but obviously no deals being offered other than the accessory pack. I remember seeing £1200 off the 848 evo corse when the 899 came out so there is hope a deal can be done on a 2015 model when there is an announcement of a new bike! That is as long as the new one is really worth getting

  15. I inquired about 899's at manchester today, they have no new 899's in stock nor can they get any.

The guy i spoke to told me November would see the launch of a new bike replacing the 899. They won't be available until next year

  16. It's all pretty odd... Why would Ducati deny themselves of 6 months worth of sales?? Also, a new 899 after only 2 years is a pretty short lifecycle for a top selling bike.

I really hope they bring out a streetfighter so I can trade my 899 in.

  17. I agree, it seems really weird. Been thinking about buying a used 848 evo again, as I would have so much less cash in it but will hold on for the mo

  18. Not having stock is a major error yes, I can't believe they pulled the plug so far before the new model, they must have known the take rate better than that!

  19. All i can say is i have tried to buy an 899 i have rang around and been into a few dealers. I can't get one as they are not taking any orders for them.

Twice i have been told that there is a new 899 model coming and that is why they are not taking orders.

There could well be a streetfighter on the cards as well but i am certain that there will be a new 899 type bike.

  20. I don't get why it wouldn't be in dealers until December. The current one was well into dealers by Nov 2013 and they were doing free exhausts in December!
