Urban Enduro Scrambler Police Bike?

  1. While driving in London this afternoon, I came across a traffic cop (Met Police on his jacket) riding a Ducati Scrambler "Police bike". At the traffic lights he turned left and I got a good look at the tank complete with police checker tape. I didn't get a chance or want to risk taking a photo while driving which was a shame.

    Has anyone heard or seen anything about this?

  3. Can't see phots in work but there are a whole load of different model police bikes knocking around just now. There was an 1199 demo one at Silverstone last year but I think that was publicity only. I saw a BMWS100RR and an 899 Panigale at Loomies the other day.

  12. I personally think that using taxpayers money to fund Italian bikes is a joke. Maintenance costs as well as the initial high cost of Ducati's should mean that Police get nowhere near them. Seems like an excuse for some police riders to have a jolly on some nice bikes, I mean, a police Panigale... Piss take!

    Same as all the BMW 4x4's they drive around. I'm thinking more Hyundai cars and stick to the Honda bikes and pay for more bobbies on the beat.
