848 SBK wouldn't start after rain shower. I apologise up front if I'm missing something really obvious. Turn on the ignition. You can hear It cycle through its checks but hit the start button you hear a faint click of a relay and the lights dim (like a flat battery but not) The immo error code was showing but not anymore Checked the forums all suggest the immobilizer antenna water ingress. All looks fine. I disconnected the antenna at the plug, refitted, still won't start. Do I need a new antenna? Any suggestions? Thanks Al. P.S. It did start once and I managed to get home but not again.
Check the relay on the right side of the battery box. There are two there and you want the rear one. Replace with new. £1.99 on eBay.
Removed both relays and cleaned the terminals, replaced them. It has started every time since. Thanks Al.
