2 sets of cans yeah probably a stainless & carbon set but I bet they were both 50mm slip ons, the 70mm race kit's a different beasty altogether and easily identifiable by the sweepy uppy curvy section between the cans and the link pipe even the R didn't come with that AFAIK
Both sets of cans that came with mine were carbon and, out of curiosity, I just checked mine with the verniers and they are 70mm (measured at the footpeg) and around 55 at the can. I don't know the dimensions of the standard set as they are hiding somewhere up in the attic. I bought mine used and that's what came with the bike but I think the original owner just passed on everything that came with it new.
Yes someone's fitted the optional 70mm pipes. Some info gleaned from 1098s Tricolour reviews "2-1-2 layout that uses 52mm-57mm dia tubing.."
Saw a couple of others at the NW200 a few years back but didn't meet the owners. You are probably right about the numbers as apart from those I haven't seen any others.

True, wanted the tricolour, the one I've bought was my second choice. Still happy though. Can't wait to have it delivered now.
Being dropped off on the 31st. Just going through prep at the minute. Like the one in Leeds, they are doing belts and full service. You?
