  4. it looks fine. oil doesnt absorb water like brake fluid

  5. sealed container, unopened? will be fine.

  6. It can react to bacteria and go "off", but if it smells OK it probably is OK for a top up. Do you really need to top up now or can it wait for some fresh ?

  7. It's water like rather than being thicker
Went to top up oil in car couple of weeks back and the oil in garage at my friends had gone *off* it was too runny and didn't look right
From that I would say yes it does loose something

  8. its on the lower mark and next time out will be a track day, so i want it full really

  9. I have a full bottle, 4L, in my garage I've had for about 3years but never got round to using, will that be ok? It's never been opened but been stored in a shed so would have gone from -4(ish) to +30 I guess.

  11. It hadn't gone watery my bad it had gone cloudy should listen more to what I'm being told

  12. If yours has gone cloudy, I suggest you go to the doctor and provide a specimen for him to analyse.

  18. My oil on the shelf seems to have a life of it's own...........no matter how well I clean the containers after using them, there is allways a creep of oil film down the container and along the shelf.

  19. You sure it wasn't a bottle of wine ..... girls and engines DOH !! ;)
