899 Any Must Haves?

  1. Hi,

    Go easy as I'm new!

    Just waiting to collect my 899 and wondering if there's anything well worth getting?

    I've been looking at the R&G Swing arm boot protectors, also got some Paddock bobbins from my RR to go on. And also R&G Eazi Grip tank grip.

    I've added factory accessories of a rear cowl, comfort seat, rad guard, alarm and middle tank guard...

    Anything well worth having or anything to watch out for?

  3. I notice a lot of talk on the net regarding tyres, I've never been much of a fan of track style road tyres... Not ideal for what riding I do. Ideally looking for a 2ct!

    I hear there's an option now in the shape of Dunlop SportMax2's... These any good? as I've never used them.

    Always been a michelin fan boy, pilot road 3/4's etc.

  4. I'd say radiator guards and some grippy pegs... Pegs most definitely!

    Taller screen is a good one too. [emoji4]

  5. Screen is on the cards (I'm 6ft3). Any recommendations on screen brands, I'm thinking light smoke...

  6. I got the light smoke Ducati Performance one with a tint. I really like it, but careful it doesn't melt your clocks like it did mine!

  8. No, definitely worse with the clear one as a mate at work has it and we've compared burn marks on out Buffs that we put on top of the clocks to protect them. Lol.

  10. Better keep an eye on that then..

    Will see how I get on with the standard pegs first, then go from there.

  12. Swap the rear indicators for the 1199 LED ones.
    Straight plug & play. Tidys up the rear end for very little effort:upyeah:

  19. The standard system is more than loud enough for me. The missus nearly stacked it when I fired up the demo over the weekend.
