'Whats wrong with the Desmo' thread?

  1. Do you think they do that for Lorenzos crew?

  2. With the very quick advance forward up the grid, the secret meeting with furusawa in July which got out and was all hush hush nothing to see here, move along etc..........!

    Makes you wonder

  3. What's wrong with the Desmo?

    Maybe less and less.

  4. My spin on things, Ducati had a recent test at Misano after Brno like the rest of the field, Ducati had new parts to try (chassis) which seemed to work, so race weekend comes and the weather is changeable, which team has data/setup for Misano come race day? Coupled with a little bit of luck and voila.

Im not saying that's everything, but it must have helped. I'd be interested to see if the form continues to Aragon.

  5. I would agree that there has been advancement in the pakcage since earlier this season. However, the actual size of the increment maybe have been less that would seem. Ducsti had two days intense testing at misano earlier this month, the other teams didnt. Chassis set-up time was limited on Friday and Saturday due to inclement weather, therefore not allowing Honda and Yamaha to achieve a full race set-up. I feel Aragon will be the (weather again permitting) round were any advancement by Ducati Corse has been made. I hope it has, as next year needs to have a couple more bikes up front to give genuine entertainment for non anaorak fans.

  6. Rossis best time was 0.9seconds slower than CS's best on the GP 10, 800cc, carbon fibre chassis job

Lorenzos best time this year was 0.2econds slower this year than 2010.

  7. Good info 749er. So its still not the bike then!

  8. If you saw some of the rider interviews they all said the track was green even on race day compared to previous years.

Year on year times generally mean little unless the scenario is 100% the same. You have different weather, different size motor but with same amount of fuel, tyres etc, not really like for like.

There have been a few instances where the 800's still were quicker than the 1k's

There has to be a trend to draw a conclusion from anything. lets see what Aragon brings.

  9. And yet the most consistent rider on the grid , JL, was only 0.2 seconds slower this year. So using that as a reference point what happened to the other 0.7?

    Sore shoulder?

  10. YAWN!
