Hi everyone just had a look at the toolkit provided with my bike. Seems pretty sparse. Anyone know what's supposed to be in it...or is this it? thanks for any advice, feedback & banter
Ducati toolkits have always been hopelessly inadequate, with just a few feeble items made of putty. BMW toolkits are usually pretty good and well made. MZ ones were excellent. I have heard that some Harley-Davidsons come with no tools at all; anyone know if that is true?
From what I heard they toyed with the idea of loading it up with tools, but opted to put one of those concertina tow ropes in instead.
2 x allen keys,1 c-spanner & extension handle. Some sort of a can opener/bracket? A givi topbox lock barrel to match the ignition key and a puncture repair kit? This bike is brand new,ex-demo, - is this REALLY it??
Can opener / bracket? That the chain temsion thing? Ffs I didnt get one last time and dont have one this either if it is!!
I honestly don't think its the shop 'short-tooling' me but am up that way tomorrow (a 94 mile round trip for me to J&L) . Will ask when I'm in there booking the bike in for a front brake reservoir "re-torque" due to a brake fluid leak. Oh and looking at my old bike.......Versys 1000 13 plate 13300 miles and never went wrong...ever.. :Arghh::Woot:....
Harley's don't have a tool kit, the seat is bolted on and they never break down! Well much, and all can be sorted with a lump hammer.
Remember, you're supposed to go to.an authorised dealer for chain adjustment, in fact your supposed to go to an authorised dealer for anything at all, hence no need for tools.
Well there a whole place that you can find that information, it's called the internet..... so I'm told
No, I should stay away from that internet if I were you. Someone told me there is a picture of a lady with no clothes on it somewhere?
