  2. If it makes you feel any better I did something similar a few days ago with my rebuilt 851 - having been used to riding modern bikes I had forgotten just how limited the steering lock is on an old 851 and dropped it turning round in the road.
Looks like you got off fairly lightly - my damage is worse!
I have already fixed the brake lever but think the paintwork will have to wait until winter.

  3. Commiserations Mikey, we've all done it. Low-sided my 851 3 years ago, those fibreglass fairings aren't very flexible are they?

  4. Cheers guys , bit calmer now ...first things I did was look round to see if anyone was looking( post edit ....then I cried )..there wasn't so not TOO Embaressed , need to find a good painter in the Midlands , I'm in Telford Shropshire ...anyone recommend one please ?

  5. I almost dropped mine turning out of a pit garage at a trackday recently in the same way. I just managed to slam my foot down in time. I was chuckling away to myself as I trundled down pit lane. What a cock I almost looked!

  6. did the same thing 20 years ago with my 907ie - painful isn't the exact word

  13. In the short term, Ford radiant red touch up is a good match.
We all live in fear of doing this...

  17. probably wasn't your fault - stalling is normally down to TPS issues on 749's - not user error ;)

  18. Feel for you buddy.
Dropped my 748 in a busy 4 way cross section years ago. I'm build like a grey hound jokies whip and couldn't even lift it back up. So i walked to the kerb and left it till a car driver decided the only way to home was to help.
Said thanks, fired it straight up and whellied off down the road. It's ok being seen doing stupid things, so long as you can do it with style.
