  1. No. She just asked how much it was going to cost me and told me which new handbag she wanted. I can live with that! :)
I think I might have forgotten to tell her about how much extra I'd have to pay but that's not cheating, just down to bad short term memory!

  7. I had a call from a 'Microsoft Service Centre'.The foreign sounding guy wanted to talk about my 'Windows'.I tried to explain to him that we were very pleased with our windows, they were fitted a few years back now.For some reason he rang off.Very odd behaviour i reckon.

  9. "There's a mouse on the floor!" cried my wife at lunchtime, "Quick, get something to kill it!"

So I disappeared for a five minutes and came back.

"What the feck is that?" she screamed, as she stood shaking on the dining room table.

    "It's Dave's snake." I said

  10. Went for a meeting in Geneva on the 999. It was 32° there - too hot for leathers really and too hot for the bike which sounds a bit like a bag of nails in that heat.
I parked on the pavement with all the other bikes and something caught my eye: they were all black or at best monochrome. This strikes me as very sad. It appears the monochrome car obsession has spilled over to bikes... Of course, I'm not helping - mine's black too but at the time a black 999 was unusual and classy. Now I'm just one of the crowd.

  11. Today I have had an easy'ish day in the office. Couple of calls to the US and Canada and one to Spain. Nothing too testing :)

Tonight me and SWMBO are off to the Grand Theatre in Leeds to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. I enjoyed the book when I read it ten years ago. Hopefully the play will be good too. :)

  17. What's the 'Knie' event going on until 17th sept? Swiss Morris dancing?

  18. Agreed. Very clever scene setting. I'd recommend it to anyone if they were thinking of going.

  19. Another night in the chair for me, ( I don't mean round-wise) have enjoyed the banter on here this evening.
