  1. Hi Everybody.

Having been away from bikes for 10 years I've jumped in at the deep end with an 848 Evo Corse. Pooping myself a bit but also excited in getting back on a bike and owning a Ducati to boot.

Are there are peeps in South Birmingham area on here?

  2. Quite a few of us in and about that area :upyeah:

  3. Whereabouts?

I'm looking to hook up with anybody who fancies an early Sunday ride out. It would help me immensely to have somebody with me until I get confident again.

  4. Enjoy and welcome to the club.

    Matt

  5. Hi Markm and welcome, enjoy the bike but please take your time getting back into the swing of things. I was away from bikes for 20 years ( apart from the odd spin on my mates bikes) and the differences were immense. Chris

  6. I'm in Warwickshire so it's a quick blast up the road to Brum, Though checking the forecast for sunday you might want to think twice about that ride...

  7. I'm out tomorrow afternoon with a senior IAM instructor to get me started. Start on 125cc again and then on to 500cc when he's happy and i'm safe to do so.

Definitely going to take it very easy.

  8. Typical eh! Weather's been perfect so far this week. I was looking forward to hot cuppa in Stratford :-(

  9. We were there last sunday, was a lovely days riding.

  10. Take it your coming from japanese inline 4's? The Ducati will feel really odd if you've not ridden a twin before but stick at, when you get it right it's sublime :upyeah:

  11. Last bike was a VTR Firestorm, but there's a lot more going on with the 848

  12. Won't be such a huge shock then, well apart from the fact the 848 has got a fair bit more grunt. Oh and the crap fuel range won't be anything new to you either

  13. Yeah, planning any long ride out on the VTR normally required strategic precision. Did catch me out on occasion, when the light came on you had a matter of a few miles to find a garage.

  14. You know exactly what to expect from an 848 then

  15. Welcome and welcome to the 848 Evo Corse club :upyeah:

  16. Hello and welcome

  17. Greetings Mark. Take it easy on your new purchase. Even at slow speed the 848 corse looks the dogs bollox

  18. Welcome and enjoy your new bike
I would suggest doing a few run outs on your own with no worrying about keeping up
Get to know your bike first :)

  19. They might look it but believe me they don't feel it. They need to be ridden

  20. +1

    Richie :upyeah:
