Better Than Expected. Much Better.

  1. Hi all,

I've been a lurker here since the DVT came out.
I've only ever owned sports bikes. Currently riding a 2006 zx10r that I've had since new and for 3 years or more I've not been enjoying it. Finding the riding position just too uncomfortable. Over the last year or so I've been taking the odd test ride to try to find something that I enjoy. I've tried other sports bikes and a Tuono v4 (what an epic engine) but nothing has come close to making me consider the switch.

Today I rode the the DVT S. I was gobsmacked at how good it was. Handling, power, noise, comfort.. When I got back on my own bike it felt horrible.

I think I might be about to buy my first ducati....

  10. welcome - I used to work for a finance company in the Edinburgh suburbs - loved the bars behind Princess Street. Probably why I don't work there any more

  12. I'll have to update my profile. I've just moved out to South Lanarkshire.
I guess I'm half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow now.

By the way, I noticed the front mudguard chaffed by the brake lines (they said there was a 'fix'). The screen didn't look too scratched but a screen protector is a must. I asked about the breaking luggage lugs. There was a suggestion that it might be caused by people mounting them whilst full of heavy things (hmmmm).

  19. You know what finm? You just might. I've been really unhappy on my current bike and my rides get shorter and shorter. Used to travel all over but can't face it any more.
Riding the multistrada yesterday was a breath of fresh air. I'm actually looking forward to riding again!
