Sweet Fanny Adams

    Today I visited the grave of Sweet Fanny Adams. It is in Alton cemetery, a few minutes walk from WM Snell's Ducati shop. Fanny Adams was a young girl who was brutally murdered in 1867. Bizarrely her name has entered the English language - you may have heard it.

  16. Well I never knew she was a real person. So somewhere in Yorkshire then, is the grave of her northern cousin Sweet Fanella Arkwright.
