Yes, please raise the price of the termi system as it is causing me distress - I've promised to buy an after-market system elsewhere, for more than the £700 you have quoted Do the non-radial Ohlins forks seem a little high at £700? I imagine most people are looking for the radial version these days.
I have not calculated the sum of the parts , but is it really worth the hassle of breaking , and possability of being left with some / many parts . 5k for a mk 1 albeit with black box , is a good price.
@cherod I don't think it's worth 6k unless someone really wants a 999 trackbike so 5k feels about right. Problem is the wheels, exhaust, engine, slipper and suspension alone is worth that - the rest is gravy. So is it worth it? To me, absolutely...
i am not saying that it is nessassarily not worth the hassle,, well worth 1k if you have the time and ability,, good luck ,,,, but TBH,, i dont really like the breaking up thing,, ( i know it is only a bit of metal )
Another swing i've "missed out on"? If you break it i'd be interested in rear shock, rear sub-frame and rear sets. Oh yeah, and oil cooler. Cheers
Decision made: it's being parted out. I am going to do it in waves - first up is the engine. I figure someone will value it more if they can see / hear it and potentially ride it in my driveway (bike is unregistered). Once that is done I will be able to properly catalogue and price the rest. For those that have dibbed bits already - hold your horses.
I broke my 999s, it took about 2 months to get rid of all the bits and I made a lot more than I would have done as a complete bike
