  1. Was it £425 plus or incl vat?

  2. Plus vat

  3. Final question, they offer a rebuild with new softer spring spring of the original shock and some internal modding to improve over standard for 180+vat. What made you go for a Maxton one?

  4. Cause it's blue

  5. Seriously though, I figured it's a 22 year old shock so just replace the lot. My bikes a keeper I've spent ££££'s on it so want it to handle great too.

  6. Oooo, it's on its way!! Will post pic when it's here tomorrow, so exciting

  7. I'm going out on a thin branch here, I've put the STD shock back on my 750, and the improvement in handling is huge. Could be the other shock is not set right, but I was convinced the poor handling was down to the tyres.

  8. Check this purple exoticness. ...

  9. My Hyperpro spring is purple as well.........

  10. Oooooo thats a lovely colour. I nearly bought a Hyprepro cos of it's colour but didn't know maxton used the same. Is there any adjustment other than preload and maybe ride height. I know some have a combined rebound and compression adjuster. I like a good twiddle with adjusters me so i can make a good bike bad then pay someone to put it right. lol

    • It is a bespoke unit built to order by the Maxton factory
    • Valved and sprung to suit the riders weight and what they use the bike for, all dampers come preset ready to bolt to the bike
    • CNC machined from 6082 and 7075 billet alloy
    • Hard anodised to prevent wear and corrosion
    • Rebound damping adjustable
    • Compression damping adjustable
    • Tommy bar preload adjustment, so preload can be changed in seconds
    • Ride height adjustment if possible

  11. Well. You can't ask for more than that can you. Should transform the bike. And it's purple :upyeah:

  12. That looks great, is it the NR4 and how long did you have to wait for delivery?

  13. It's is the NR4. Expensive, I thought about the Ohlins but Maxton are recommended by some many people on different forums, I think for the money is the best option for me. Maxton is set up for me can't wait to fit over the winter on my rebuild, might even start a project thread soon...delivery was under two weeks, nearer one in fact. Custom made. Customer service is excellent. That swayed me in the end.

  14. Be interested in how you get on with the Maxton shock. Have you had the front forks altered/re-valved?

    Cheers Pablo

  15. Pablo,

Forks currently with Maxton. Bike is getting rebuilt over winter. Thread on here so can tell you if its a good improvement next year. I suspect it will be awesome!
