No, Monsters don't do it for me either. I get why people like them but there's something about the looks I can't quite put my finger on which just doesn't work for me. I do quite like this though. Got a bit of meanness to it, a touch of the Brutale. But I wouldn't swap my SF for it.
I agree the pipes aren't ideal but that's an easy fix. An underseat or a Quad D system would look good, or a stubby two into one race can like an AR or SC. But exhaust aside, the bike looks like its going to be fun to ride. Monsters usually look like they're going to be tame. Don't have an issue with the headlight. But then I'm not such a fan of the angular insect-like pods. I do quite like the twin stacked lights on Bimotas.
I'm still not sure about the monster. Some look good some don't, I liked the original years ago. Maybe it's true of all naked bikes - pipes / headlights etc make a big difference. Trying to find a multistrada and a Hypermotard nearby and my sort of price to have a better look / sit on / ride. Love the Hypermotard looks !
I think we have a winner.... Dont come back with anything less than an 1100....chop chop, off you go.... Pics posted by 5 please. ☺
I wish. Working away next week in Cumbria so got to drive up there tomorrow. Will have to find some to look at when I'm back or I might explode.
Yep... Cheap and fast although ive never liked the front end of the tuono and the clocks on the early ones look like a school project that got a D.
Suppose I should think about insurance costs too. Haven't got any no claims as haven't had bike for 3-4 years. 49 years old Bike parked off road next to house ( hidden by gate). Not sure if it's going to be silly money - the online one I tried wanted a reg number which I haven't got yet. Will call broker on Monday - then maybe ask which is the best 600 ( or 125 ) for £4000 [emoji3]
KTM engine is awesome, servicing costs will be cheaper and the whole thing should be more reliable. I didn't have any rusting fasteners or even the slightest niggle when I had my KTM. If it'll be parked outside I wouldn't fancy my ducati staying looking pretty. Say goodbye to the engine paint.
but say hello to a different kind of adventure. where man and machine become one. usually because you will have your hand and arm rammed in somewhere trying to fix the fecker. not true . get the fugly 1100s it's a belter.
I like having to fix bikes, maybe from years ago having british bikes and having to. Newbie question - fugly = Multistrada ?
