Fat Lad was saying that the downforce goes up as a square of speed, Hodgey was saying something like they only come in to play at fairly high speeds so I'm unsure they could effect the start. Think maybe the M1 start issues are more electronic/software based, maybe? Dunno mate, they both had them on earlier in the session but I'm not sure about after the final bike swap, this pic at end of quali - difficult to tell:

Didn't get to watch anything other than Q1 but it strikes me as unfair that Suzuki aren't far off the pace without the soft tyre, yet they get to piss all over everyone else because they get the option too. So unfair to Redding. I'd tell them they're close enough now that they lose the soft option and simply have to work harder on the bike to bridge those 10ths, like everyone else.
front row is what he needs, he can now get away and disrupt in the first few laps just like Silverstone. Lo is gonna get hammered by them

Valentino Rossi held his hands up and admitted he 'made a mistake' after impeding team-mate Jorge Lorenzo during final qualifying at Misano. The 36-year-old received a penalty point on his record by Race Direction for 'riding slowly close to the racing line, therefore disturbing another rider on a fast lap'. Riders toting up four points or more over the course of a season are hit with grid penalties and can be banned for accumulating more than 10 points. Lorenzo made his feelings known to Rossi as the Movistar Yamaha riders practiced their starts at the conclusion of Q2, but revealed the Italian had later apologised and said there was no issue. Pole man Lorenzo initially believed he was on course to better his best lap until he lost some momentum after encountering Rossi on the racing line at the penultimate corner, but later conceded that he may have merely matched his time or gained a minimal improvement. Speaking at the press conference on Saturday, Rossi joked: “Yes, I saw Jorge [on the TV screen] and tried to stay in his way to give him some problems! So Rossi has been given a penalty point for blocking Lorenzo. Looks like Rossi is trying to get get into lorenzo's head. Can't wait for the race tomorrow.
Btw whether he did or didnt, if he had known he would have Rossi play mind and track games. Its part of what makes him great. And why I am a big fan
