Hi all. I'm new to the forum and just picked up my first ducati. It's a 2001 748r. Had to ride it home today, 75 miles in the rain which wasn't fun. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some sun and I can really start to feel what it can do.

Nice, looks unmolested. Probably one of the finest rider's bikes of its time but then I'm might be just a little biased - I have an indentical 2001 748R. I think we were introduced to this bike a few weeks ago, are you aquainted with Phil 748 ? Andy
Yep he is, I was doing research to see if it was genuine. It's a lovely bit of kit, and sounds brilliant! Can't wait to have a go, although pulling away looks a bit 2-stroke like on it! Have to say we were both really impressed with Rhodes and Track, really refreshing to see someone with some passion, unlike the robot-dealers we have near us.
Had them out briefly today for a blast, I had a brief go and I can't believe how different it is to my old standard 748 and my mates 748. It's just so smooth and fast!
