So what have you done today..?

  1. Completed an online tax return today for the first time, it wasn't too painful and I only owe about £85 :upyeah:

  2. I'm only guessing that you thought that he thought he could out run the bikes behind him and was giving it some as you kept pace. No racing, no fault on your part BUT if you see that kind of behaviour in front of you I.e. so called 'red mist' doesn't hurt to hang back. Especially if they're in something like an M6 with a carbon roof, alarm bells are ringing as to the type of person at the controls!

  4. No he got out of the car and said as much. He said he thought he'd have a bit of fun with us. He was an older gent (probably why he could afford the car). Ambition outweighed talent as a mr stoner once said.

  5. I prefer people like that in front of me where I can see them.

  6. I needed some waterproofing for the jacket and pants, thought, take wifey in her car for a nice drive to the shops. I grabbed the keys and off we went. Nearly a divorce. Apparently I've forgotten how to drive :Bucktooth:

  7. My wife only passed in December in her mid 40's. She actually welcomes my comments.

  8. Met two of those yesterday, one in a BMW and one in an Audi. Its not so much being overtaken that gets to them its being unable to shake you off. They become fixated with their rear view mirror instead of looking where they're going. Best to let them go and have their crash well away from you. Or if possible, push them into a speed camera and then hit the brakes.
The ones I dread the most are 20 year olds in boyed up hatch backs who think they're Colin McRea. No hedge is safe when they're around. Avoid like the plague.

  9. The assumptions we make are not always accurate ;)

  10. At first I thought "how sad, that is no age at all", then I realised she is still alive :Wideyed:

  11. drafted my latest "Lonely Hearts" ad for the local paper

"Bloke (60) seeking a life-partner to share my soul with. I am sensitive, caring and have a deeply loving nature.
If you wish to give me your heart, I will give you mine and know that, held within your gentle hands, it will be safe for ever.
    No fat chicks."

  15. Front door Yale lock broke today. Luckily, I had one off the old garage (not shed!) door so used that. Turns out:
A: I'm a bit of an expert on locks (after fitting the dead lock on the garage yesterday as well).
B: Yale looks are a million times easier to fit than dead locks.

2nd lock on garage was going to be a dead lock, it is now going to be a Yale lock.

  16. You got a garage too :Wideyed: any pics?

  18. if by a yale you mean night latch, they are a heap easier to fit than a dead lock but not as secure... fitting a london bar as well helps though and is easy

  19. Yeah, that's that I mean. But the amount of wood i had to cut out the door to fit the dead lock surely weakens the wooden frame more than a night latch?

  20. I went to "Italian Day" at CMC in Clay Cross on the Scrambler and met @Birdie and his son Rob (?), also @Mr Bimble was there too.

T'was a hoot coming back on roads I'd never been on and hunting down and passing bigger sports bikes. :D
