1200 DVT Urban Pack - Any Photos Topbox Plate Please?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Bandit, Sep 2, 2015.

  1. Hi everyone, looking at adding the urban pack to my multi dvt. But after getting a price frommy dealer I'm wondering how the Ducati badged 48L topbox plate fixes to the multi's rear rack. Anyone got any close photos of the underside and side views of the topbox please? Like to know what I'll be getting for my money and how the topbox mounts.

The only stills I've managed to capture of the top box are these but can't make out fixings and also if its a plastic or metal plate/clamps.o_O

Any advice / photos would be appreciated before I hand over the Wonga .

    Cheers :upyeah:

  2. I'll be able to add some come Friday when I pick my bike up but it looks to be Givi Mono style plate.

  3. It looks to be a newer version of the 2010/11 plate below but looks to have the same fixing points. P1000580.JPG

  5. Thanks Chusky.......oooo you got an S?:upyeah:

interesting, wonder if GIVI will release this as a separate part? o_O

  6. Much neater than the old one, I'd probably rather buy the rack and a smaller top box if it's possible.

  7. I don't like how far back the top box sits, and the wife won't go two up.
Could I fit a top box plate to the pillion seat do you think?

  8. People do on sports bikes so cant see any reason why not

  9. Anyone got any shots with the top box on the DVT from different angles? Thanks in advance

  10. The Ducati Urban Pack topbox is only 48L so not massive

  11. Hi Bandit, have you had any luck getting the Part or Kit No. for the Top Plate and Stays as the old models box's will fit the new plate design. Lots of us have the previous models Top Box etc

  12. No part numbers....sorry, however Ducati Glasgow who are really top people, especially having never bought anything from them, advised that there is a Givi support arms and rack, but no top box (monokey) plate. Givi basically can't sell the Ducati branded bits separately. Been offered the urban pack for £452.00 from myDuc dealer...not bad really (for extortionate prices ).

  13. Thanks Bandit info much appreciated. The cost over here is $1250.00NZ for the complete Urban pack . Know what you mean by extortion, I like others kept the Top Box from my 2013 model as you don't get anymore for your trade for the extra toys you buy. Shit happens I guess have to bite the bullet.

    Cheers

  14. Yes agree Greg. Been deliberating with my missus over the cost. Imlucky in that she's a biker herself so we both know the cost of 'normal' Givi gear as she ordered her FZ1 bars and topbox herself few years back. So were agreed its friggin expensive but at the moment there is no alternative - just got to put my hand in my pocket and go for it! Oh by the way you can choose red or silver panels on the top box (per ducati Glasgow).I've got silver pannier covers but the silver topbox cover looks really....drab and 'ZZzzzz, boring dare I say it?

  15. Are these any use?

  18. Tank bag is good and had to be small as the lock is huge on the dvt

    Bag still slightly fouls

  19. :upyeah:Thanks Jerry H & Bradders:upyeah:

Found a bit more useful info on the Ducati branded GIVI Tankbag from Tobers from his Wales/Cumbria write up. Tobers says that its a useful space to charge up your phone etc however points out that when opening the top part of the tank bag is folds onto the clocks & screen and causes scratches o_O - but luckily he had a screen protector on the display . A wealth of information there Tobers ....thank you.

  20. No it doesnt. It folds out onto the plastic above the screen and goes no where near it
