749 Mono Seat Question.

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by RVizela, Sep 14, 2015.

  1. Hi Guys,

Need a small favor form someone with a Mono, just got a Mono frame and fairing but the fairing, Mono one of course, sits quite high above the exhaust and mono subframe, maybe just me as I used to have a biposto seat...

Can anyone let me know roughly what the gap is from the exhaust and tail unit, how far from each other they sit?

    Cheers

  2. Make sure you have pushed the pin on the tail properly through the rubber bushing on the subframe. Also note that the bushing must be on the correct position since there are three options where to mount the seat and tail on the subframe.

  3. Regarding the three positions ,,,,, i believe it is only the S model ( maybe R ) which has adjustable length ,,,,,,,,,, i can measure for you when i get home after work if you still need . ( S model )

  11. No, only Monopostos :Finger:

  12. I remember setting my 999s on the Middle setting when fitting a mono seat unit before selling, confused now :Bucktooth:

  13. It's true though, only the monos had adjustable seat settings. Trust me :)

  16. Nope, it had a BIP sub-frame with a funny fibre glass mono seat unit, the sub frame showed more than it should and had mountings for rear hangers :p

  17. i ( think ) i remember reading that one of the features which the " S " had was the 3 way adjustable seating arrangment , which other; dark, norm & R did not have.

  18. Well I'm sure my 999S did, I remember selecting the middle hole! but I have had a drink since selling it :)

  19. you must have had a few this eve !!!,, i did say all S models !! i use most forward / shortest seating arrangement ,

  20. I know you did - I was agreeing with you agreeing wit me :)
