  1. So you don't class a World Supersport Championship as top flight

  2. no , not really . superbike ? yes

  3. More exciting racing.
Part of JLos whinge (comes after every race when it doesnt go his way at the moment) :
“Luckily I was fine after the crash,” he added. “But I was a little bit worried, because my hand was getting bigger, and also my head suffered a lot of blows...''
Obviously misquoted and should have read, ''my head was getting bigger..''
Very talented rider but just cant like the guy.^^

  5. I wanted to like Cal but I can't.

Sorry to anyone on here who's a personal mate or relation etc but my opinon is worth sweet fa anyway.

He's a fuckin whiney twat in the same mould as Max and Stoner but as good as neither of them.

He talks a big guy chat but way more often than not he doesn't back it up and talks sheepish or rude when asked to comment about his result not matching his expectation.

    Not very admirable.

Look at the teams he's left, what their riders are doing, and how he's "justified" his team moves. Just not cool at all imo.

Look at his Misano quali times on the Honda this year and the 'old' Duke last year... Or pretty much any metric.

The guy is going backwards imo.

  6. To be fair to him, I don't think he wanted to leave Tech3.

  7. Didn't he tell them he was going and then have to beg for his old job back after Ducati reneged on the original deal?

Maybe I've got my facts wrong?

  8. Just to point out, no satellite Honda rider is liking the bike. They're calling it an Unrideable beast. Cal, Redding... Both the same comments. They've basically said only the factory boys can get this bike dialled in how it needs to be. I don't think Cal or Redding have forgotten how to ride. Yes Cal has become a bit of an excuse wizard, but he'd still be rapid given the right bike.

  9. Well yeah all of that is true and he'd probably beat me too if he ate all three Shredded Wheat for breakfast but still - his relative performance isn't looking that great imho.

Like I know? Not at all!

Yeah Brad is on Vale or Jorge's bike from last year and, if you compare VR/JL times from last year to BS this year you can see BS is a good 1/2 second slower - on the same bike.

CC hasn't been that impressive when against his team mates on the same bike iirc.

imo he crashes when he has no hope of gaining a place and is too thick-headed to learn the good stuff from it. Instead choosing to blame the moon position or summat instead.

It's not what real men do imo.

    And his jokes aren't.

Yeah he's looked lively and promising at times but he's more 'mentally affected' than the likes of PF Chili (love ya ta bits bro if you're reading this, and no personal offence meant) or Max Biaggi etc.

I think he believes he's "straight talkin" in a way that Fogarty was - but he's neither the talent or genuine charisma afaict.

Happy to be proved wrong with reason and I'm certainly not having a dig at you either - only recently gotten involved here and I like what you've posted that I've read. :upyeah:

  10. Does no one remember his phase of comparing his performance to Valentino Rossi after every race?

Because he thought he was the one who deserved a Yamaha factory ride?

Did I imagine all that or something?

I do wonder if I actually went mad years ago and just haven't realised :Dead:

  11. When at tech 3 he constantly, during interviews, came across as he deserved the best ride

He didnt. He couldnt beat Dovi ffs ;)

  12. And then refused to utter the evil word 'Yamaha' in press conferences and interviews.

That's the bloke we're talking about here eh?

Everywhere he's been lately he just dissed his current employer and their bike.

    Charmer.

  13. Fogarty? Charisma?
    Shurely shome mishtake!

He was just incredibly good at riding motorbikes.

  14. Haha yes, shurely shome!

That's my point - by comparison old wonky eyes was - and could back it up double-hard-bastard-style when the flag dropped!

  15. I would have loved to have seen Foggy stick it to Flossi, that would have been a bell ringer!
Miller had Cructhslow's measure until things dried out at the end, he was up to 7th

  16. Something's we're never going to know Craig.
Miller was unbelievable. Didn't see what he was doing in the last race. Was to much going on at the front:)

  17. I was just watching the position standings, they didn't show any footage.
Why is it the guys like Miller, Vermulen etc excel in the rain and can do jack when it's dry? I know they are all talented but what separates them when it's dry?

    Craig

  18. Power of the bike's engine and electronics I guess?

  19. I still remember Vermulen rocking up on what was basically a stock Honda, and running right up front against much better bikes. That was in the dry and deeply impressive.

  20. I don't think it's electronics, same used to happen back in the 2-stroke days
