Which Riders Where For 2016 ?

  1. With Cal and Bradley now settled for 2016 I was wondering what we thought or knew about all the other seats across all the series? Here's some starters for 10........ (purely my own ! )

Johnny Rea - Get's resigned by Honda into Motogp after winning WSB - Scott Redding's Marc VDS bike ?
Josh Brookes - Goes to new WSB Yamaha Squad
Shakey Byrne - Get's Johnny Rea's Kawasaki seat in WSB
Sam Lowes - Is he going to go to Aprilia moto gp ?
Marco Melandri - Aprilia WSB so where to Torres and Leon go

  2. I think all the key MotoGP teams have confirmed their riders - Repsol, Yamaha, Tech3, Ducati, Suzuki, Pramac.

We'll see changes in lower rung teams like LCR, Aspar, Marc VDS.

I really rated Aleix Espargaro when he was doing amazing things on the Forward Yamaha (albeit with concessions). This hasn't translated into anything particularly stellar on the (slow but brand new) Suzuki but I think he has more to give, certainly more than his brother. The bike can only get better too. Vinales has great potential too so it'll be interesting to see how the team does in 2016.

Wondering about Pedrobot - will he throw in the towel or do another year on Repsol (he is contracted to)?

  3. Doesn't Pedrosa bring a lot of the Repsol money ? I was kind of hoping his arm pump issue might get him off the Honda, bit harsh I know ! But he's not going to win a title is he.....
If he did go who would get the ride ?

  4. Not sure on Repsol - from old footage (in Hitting the Apex), it seems Marquez has had them as a sponsor throughout his career.

If Pedrosa goes, maybe HRC will take a gamble on Rabat or bogan Miller. Unlikely though, they normally put mature (sure bet) riders on their factory machines.

  5. Johnny Rea or Stoner back, they're the only 2 moves that would make me happy !

Got Hitting the Apex at home ready to watch.............

  6. Stoner - a rider best appreciated with his helmet firmly ON.

  7. Laverty out...Hopkins in BSB
VDS two bikes, Kent and Redding

  8. Redding to Pramac dude. Hernandez gone.

  9. would love to see Stoner back in motogp,,,,,,,,,and McPhee on a good ride...
