Don't know the Db levels, but one of my customers has it fitted and I'd say its no worse, possibly quieter than the race can that comes with the bike. Sound much better IMO, less ear bleeds and more GP...
I was chatting to a guy who had the GP system on his Desmo at Oulton Park and he was on track. Oulton has a 102db limit, he did have db killers fitted which obliviously helped
Just Google Hotblack Desiato and Disaster Area. You'll get the idea. Sorry, I'll get me coat. Saw a D16RR in my local dealer's today, £37.5k, '08-reg. 77 miles on the clock. It's had one fuel top-up in its entire life. That made me sad. Have fun on yours, Dave
I think there was a utube clip of a D16RR with a GP7 fitted, will have a quick search to see if I can find it again.
A chap on ducati.org says he had his checked last year at Castle Combe, and they had the probe near the rear exhaust only and that was 116 Db!
Heard one started in dg last yr in the workshop and all i can say is fick me!! The entire shop was shakin. best sounding bike i have ever heard. lucky bastage!!!!! enjoy
I followed one which was leading a few of us to a funeral up North Sounded beautiful I was rather close at the lights and it was rattling my teeth It's the only time I have ridden over gravel in the middle of the road without thinking :-D
My mates have had a few demos so I know the sound well both stock and race can, IMO on the road the GP system was MUCH louder than stock cans! MUCH louder! Maybe not on the meter but in the real world...ouch! Nice, super nice but man!
And when you watch imagine you have the bass up on a track and it thumps through the floor and through your body and that's what it feels like next to one running :-D
This sounds nice, its my local exhaust manufacturer. ( Racefit ) "DESMOSEDICI GP DREAMS" - YouTube Steve
Im not sure what it is in terms of DBs but mines marginally louder than when I ran the race can that comes with the bike. Its a much nicer sound and because its not pointing up at your ears it sounds quiter on the bike. I now have full open pipes on the end of my GP kit instead of the muffled version, now thats loud, proper loud but sounds lovely (in my opinion) Id post a video up but I dont think you get the sound across in a video.
I think that was the one at the JHP open day a few weeks back. I'd be surprised if he manages to ride past any police car without getting a tug.
Must be some bloody deaf policemen round your way then. I do wonder if they think it's so unusual and the bike looks so unique and special that they don't bother with it.
