Hi and just a quick hello. Just purchased a new Monster 821 in white at the ripe old age of 50! It's my first Ducati and hoping for some fun and smiles on it. The bug has already got me a GIPro gear indicator is on it's way.
Welcome from a fellow Monster owner. A Monster definitely brings out the bike grin! Just beware of developing the common Ducatisti affliction known as carbonitis - it can become rather painful on the wallet.
I've seen the carbonitis, I'm going to give that a miss as my wallet isn't that heavy any more. After the test ride yesterday I knew straight away it was for me and just had to have one.
Certainly is, I test rode the new Suzuki GXS-S1000 in Thunder Road last week but the on/off throttle response put me right off. I had my GSR750 from there. They are top notch guys there. Also went to Jt's to look at their MT09 tracer, no good for me as I couldn't touch the floor!

I wanted to be different and went for white BUT it does have red wheels and frame so hopefully that will count Next week can't come quick enough for delivery into the stealers. Knowing my luck it'll be bloody raining!
Was fancying the GXS-S1000 tbh but love my HM too much...happy riding,lets hope the nice weather stays for a while !!
You wanna try the GXS-S1000. I love the looks of it, I really wanted the F version until I took it for a test ride. I went down the A48 to Cardiff then motorway back. It was really strange, the throttle was either on or off, there was no in between, it scared me in a sense. When I got home I read loads of online reviews and could really see where they were coming from. I think Suzuki have to sort this out before they lose many customers, they have certainly lost mine as before the test ride I was ready to sign up for one. Praying for a nice week next week to pick mine up, if not then it's in a van. I'm not getting this one wet !
