OJ,, i can see that is a tidy job you done there , bur as E says there is precious little room in the electrickery box on the 749,,,,,, i visited Halfrauds this afty and they ( no great surprise ) had never heard of loom wraping but did pick up a roll of amalgamating tape which i guess will do a good job...
     
  2. Trouble with the self amalgamating tape is that it turns to goo if you get petrol on it. Don't be tempted to use ordinary electricians tape, the glue goes all gummy after a while. Vehicle Wiring Products or Kojaykat have the loom tape.
     
  3. Loom tape works just fine and will match what is already there. Spiral wrap is OK, and ideal where wires may chafe, but they make the loom rather stiff. PVC sleeve is more OEM and expanding mesh is nice, but a little more fiddly. Rachem 25 heat shrink is the daddy though even more involved.
     
  4. thats cool mate,, thanks but job all over and done now,, oh and in general i always try to keep petrol uot of the electrickery box !!!
