Bike Accident Mr. Air Con

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by AirCon, Aug 19, 2015.

  1. Just take it one day at a time AC, I found life easier with pain management when I gave up trying to comply with normal day / night, wake / sleep patterns. I was on reasonably large doses of tramadol and found that while it turned me into a zombie it also mysteriously stopped me sleeping. I learned to accept my body sleeping when it needed to, and not when it didn't. Some days it meant sleeping all day, then watching TV at 4am other days were normal.

Normally does return eventually, it just takes time.

  2. I found it easier to sleep in the daytime
Night time was a nightmare I couldn't get comfy I slept on my back for months
I would wake crying with pain at night time and having flashbacks
Normality does resume as the injuries heal and pain subsides

    Hang on in there Paul
Bet you didn't think you would be Zimmer framing it did ya :)

  6. I can only walk around for 20-30 minutes before it starts to feel like someone has drilled 12 steel pins into my lower leg.
    Very unpleasant!
Can someone please confirm that this pain lessens with time. To me this just feels the same each time I walk.

Today I found out that I do not qualify for patient transport for my 1-2 appointments per week. I've been told to use a cab at a cost of £140 per round trip.

I've now decided that I'm going back to sleep and will restart this day later.

  7. I don't know about legs but yes the pain does lessen
Look at where you are! the other day you couldn't weight bear now your walking 20-30 mins
Bones hurt when they break you have to give then time to knot themselves back together
Patience Paul and you will be rewarded
    No pain no gain ;)

Please no clever answers unless we all agree to take 60g of Oxycodine today.
You life will suddenly become like an episode of the magic roundabout, but not as real.
