I am into 2V aircooled bikes. One for the road: Monster 600 - 96 that now have a fully tuned 1100 engine For the track: 1000SS - 03 that now have a Stock M1100 EVO engine, the other fully tuned 1100 engine went into pieces in August.
Ohhhhh good its red :Snaphappy::Writing: And a red bin to go with it Sorted your welcome into the mad house I'm not the crazy one they are :Clown::Hungover:
Thanks! The forks are from Monster 1100S -09 and the calipers from S1000RR needed 748R disc with 15mm offset to align with "stock" 5-spoke wheel.
Hi, Not to bad. The rear cylinders studs had cracked the casing. So casing, rear cylinder, rear piston and generator cover is gone. But the rest of the engine is ok and usable. Even found a gear selector drum in ergal/aluminium in there Pic will follow. So I will build a new engine this winter. But this time I will use a sand cast casing to be on the safe side. Meanwhile I bought a M1100 EVO engine so I could go down to Knutstorp for the last 2 trackdays. The M1100 EVO engine is really a powerful engine in stock trim.
And here are the pictures of the casing. It is cracked around all the studs of the rear cylinder. The spec of the trackbike engine was: M1000 -04, Pistal HC piston 98mm so 1078cc, CJS ported head, DP cam, 848 flywheel, ergal selector drum, 999 close ratio gearbox, 748R slipper, 999 primary drive, race alternator so pretty much the lot ;-)
