After advice please from more experienced trackdayers. See photo of 1199 Panigale rear tyre after Trackday on Silverstone club circuit (mostly right handers) I'm newish to track riding and in the Intermediate group. Tyre was 30psi hot and bike in race mode. Where the tyre's worn most there's a depression in the tread. No other bikes seemed to show similar wear. Tyre pressure too high, or would bike be better if rear suspension in flat rather than progressive setting? Thanks.
Your pressures are too high but the 1199 Panigales do eat tyres. I run 26-28 in fast group so I'd say 28 should be about right for you in inters and fairly new to tracks. I'm not all that clued up on the different types of tyre wear but I was running similar pressures to you and getting similar wear so it should help if you lower them. The wear suggests you are comfortable opening the throttle when the bike is stood up so just keep an eye on it in case it needs dropping a little more.
