Mine was about 30miles to Ducati Manchester, loan bike thanks, and went back later to collect it. Ok its not an unreasonable distance but Ducati Stoke will be more convenient.................come on, when are you opening??!!
Others will have more experience, but I found them to be very good the one time I had to use them in an emergency when I was working up their way.
I've traveled around 150miles too buy biker gear & get services (barnstormers alton/infinity farnborough).
about 25 miles to cornerspeed. been there twice with the 1199 and recieved excellent service.highly recomended
50 miles each way to Louigi Moto. Unless its a ride in/ride out job that means hiring a van as mine's too small. Twice. And time off work. Twice. Buying a single cab pickup soon which will take a bike and make life easier.
You can fit a bike on a double cab pickup . You just have to leave the back down . Oh and put the front wheel on a plank cause it sticks out the back . But it sort of fits . If you have 2 mates to help lift it in and plenty of rope and more stuff . Your better off with a single cab . Probably .
It'll have to be a single cab for work duties. And a 4X4 so its high. The tricky bit will be devising/making a safe and workable loading ramp.
A search on this forum using mike at md racing will bring in a wide collection of views. Historically (over 10 years ) i was a 100% positive fan of Mike. The last 2 Desmo services had issues. it was how those issues were dealt with that raises concerns. I'm not alone in thoses poor experiences in resolving problems. It is all covered in previous posts.
Yesterday I rode to the Ducati guru where I have bought all my bikes. 60 miles, one hour. He then drops me at the noddy train station in the village. I get the noddy train, change at Martigny, get the fast train to Lausanne, take the metro, then get another noddy train to the neighbouring village to mine, then walk 10 minutes to home. Time: about 2 and a half hours (if you're lucky with the train times - the first train only runs about every hour). And I thought I had it tough...
Hi guys n gals - my nearest Duc dealer is J&L Carlisle about a 100 mile round trip. 1st Duc I've had off them. Had a Aprilia n Kawasaki before but did my own servicing. Anyone know what they're like for Duc (multistrada) servicing? I have no clue about Ducati and looks complicated doing anything on them. Fitted radiator n cooler grills and that's all.
3 miles from my house to Ian Murray at Ducati Straiton Edinburgh, if weather bad or you are busy he will pick up and drop off bike for free, TOP MAN and EXCELLENT SERVICE
Couple of feet to the garage, then Nelly collects and drops off, so a couple of feet back into the garage. Can't be bothered with all this riding 'em lark.
