I know what you mean. Prices seem to be holding really well. I thought wtf am I doing spending the best part of another 2k on bike that's 3 years older! I've only manged a quick ride it back from the dealer so I hope to find out if she was worth it this weekend! Sure does look pretty and sounds ferocious. That's worth a lot of the extra
I think from a value for money angle my zed just nips it.... You did say that you thought it was compact.... Well, thats the reason i like it just above the sf.... I love the size of it.... Short and stocky... Just what a fighter should be! IMO....
Value for money I think the Streetfighter 1098S wins when you consider depreciation. Really like your Z though
As long as you don't ride it. Just got mine back from its 15000 miles service + new clutch. £1200. Ouch.:Jawdrop: On the other hand I guess I'm losing less of what I'm spending. Wouldn't change it for the world though.
yeah - id have to agree on that the zed do depreciate quite fast...but, and im sure everyone says this....im not planning on selling it....well, not for the foreseeable...
Of my bikes, the SF1098S is my favourite. I can't see me selling it. The only bike I've ever bought new, although I did get a hefty discount as it had been in the showroom for over a year.
My first non sports-bike (if you can call it that) and I'm loving it, it's a keeper and not an ornament like some of the others Read that they didn't sell due to the price, one has just come up at nearly £12K on Ebay so they will soon be back where they started, but this time due to rarity and the realisation that they are more than the sum of their parts...
I think thatll be the case..... But i will say that i did my first distance run on the zed last night to the ace cafe.... Absolutely brilliant, supremely comfortable. Turbine acceleration in the 80 - 100 bracket got to 154, and there was no hanging around, it went straight there (i reckon it'll get to 165) with more still to go, impressed would be an understatement.
Food was good.... I really liked it..... Bit chavvy though.... Lots of bikes with stupid led's all over them, quite a few old shitters....which doesnt bother but what does is when they rev the tits off them.... Would i go again.... Maybe.... But probably in the middle of the summer when i know its not going to be freezing cold going home! Had my heated grips on 100% all the way home! But it did warm up slightly the more west we got... I would say i prefer loomies cos of the quiet location and the run there (from my standpoint)
I was thinking of coming to meet you as I've never been but only 30mins away but I had my man flu to deal with.
Tsk.... You should have! I met kingfisher at loomies a few weeks ago... Nice bloke! Always nice to meet forum members.
I was very very man flued. Ok today though as I don't like to make a fus. Loomis is Dorset yeah? Can hopefully do that next year as I'm originally a Dorset lad. Maybe sort a camping night somewhere.
Nope... Hampshire.... Closer than you think....you could get there and back inside a day easy and have quite a lot of time there also.
