I've been out playing on the mountain bike again, beautiful weather and fantastic trails in the forest of dean.
landed in Arrecife at 11am, in the hotel for 12noon - been in the free bar since 2pm with a glass of Glenfiddich - 12 year old Cardhu later Problem is, the free bar closes at 11-30pm :Arghh:
At the price we paid, I bloody hope not! Air bubble inside the casting from the looks of it. Rare but happens. Usually when they polish the ring, air bubbles show up but not in this case. That's what they tell me anyway.
Finished the racing so have given the multi a thorough clean. I admit I'm not the best bike cleaner but once it dries I end up really despondent as it still looks dirty (water marks and crap).
30miles rather hilly miles on the push bike this morning, home for lunch (noodles) then out for a last ride on the 749 before the SORN kicks in on Thursday. We ended up via westbury , Erlestoke and Tilshead in Shrewton on Salisbury plain then hopped up the 303 and came home via Whyle, fantastic weather. It needs a final clean then we can put it in the dining room for the winter. Beef casserole for dinner, just about to take the dog for her last walk. A good day.
In the last hour I have slashed my finger good and proper on a pane of glass, stamped on a rusty nail breaking up wood and trod on a wasp that stung the arch of my foot. Triffic.
Just found out from my neighbour I need all my coping tiles on top of roof sorted out Most of them are missing muck so need to be cleaned and reseated oh joy!!!! So I hoovered washed and high gloss polished my mini to feel better She is beautiful I love my little mini did you know It's a supermoon tonight and it's really bright here Photo doesn't do it justice
Stacked a few cubic metres of wood in the woodshed (a long job) while I listened to podcasts of old Desert Island Discs. What a fab programme that is. Also interesting listening to people recorded 15 years ago with all that you know now (like a Nicole Kidman happily married to Tom Cruise). Attenborough was particularly brilliant - and funny. Also watched all the GPs. Obviously.
Been out on the the Speed Triple R today and nearly finished running it in, I really enjoy riding this bike and the weather was superb today. Bacon roll, tea, ice cream, mates and bikes. Life's good , shame the wife has got the arse today ! Still humpy when I got back...... So I took the Thruxton out for a spin A beer and a curry for tea, don't think Getting laid is on the cards tonight so better watch a bit of telly
another festival come and gone without seeing a single band. coincidence? nope, the perils of drinking gin and juice.
