Well don't know if i am the fist. I was on the A249 dual carriageway coming up to morrisons roundabout iam in lane 1 going straight over this people carrier with a load of people in, if you know what i mean, is in lane 2 so was either going straight on or going right . Morrisons is on the left so as i start to enter the roundabout he decides to turn left to morrisons hits my exhaust i end up in the signs in a pile. Left boot ripped to shreds luckily my foot is just bruised had shoulder x ray thankfully no break but the bones don't look write so will find out later in the week if the ligaments are torn. The bike came off surprisingly well hand guards, tank cover , side panel and water pump from the outside but who knows inside. Did not think much of Ducati recovery took about 2 hours to pick her up as it was sunday no garage was open so they would store her and move to Lagunas on monday that would have been fine but for that overnight storage i would be charged. So luckily managed to call Lagunas before they shut and told me to have put round the thanks to them for that my baby was safe. now i have to seen if i can claim loss of earnings and a damaged shoulder seems i am going to be off work for some time, any you guys had dealings with those no win no fee solicitors.MY SHOULDER BLOODY HURTS

Sad to hear, dont worry about keeping us up to date with messages, sounds like you are still buzzing from the experience, you survived that's the main thing. Bike damage inadvertently goes up as its looked at in the cold light of day and as I always say - the insurance assessor is not your friend - so get your act and story together and push those guys to get you the service you need and promptly as its in everyone's interest.
There's some real tw*ts on the road. I don't get the pleasure of riding with them for the majority as I go out early on saturday and sundays before they're usually about. I went out saturday mid day though and Jesus Christ!! bloody dreadful. Glad you're okay mate.
Sorry to hear about your problems, but you've got some work to do urgently, @welderman . 1. Sit down and write out a comprehensively detailed account of exactly what happened with the crash - times, dates, places, distances, registration numbers, everything with diagrams. And try to write it in English. 2. Start keeping a diary day-by-day of your medical condition - all your cuts, bruises, aches, pains, all doctors you see, all tests you have, all medicines you have to take. 3. Take a very close look at your bike, noting down a full list of every component which is damaged, bent, or scratched in any way. Use the descriptions and numbers in the Ducati spares list. These are things you will need to have done. If you don't do them now, you will struggle later on in the process of trying to establish your claims. Good luck!
Would you mind if I ask why you were in the lane to the left if you were going straight over The chances of someone wanted morrisons on the left and you being on the left wasnt the best place to be :Writing:
Sorry to hear of your accident - the important thing is you are here to report it. The driver of the people carrier needs a seeing to!
p.s I meant to say im glad your okish apart from the shoulder I feel your pain there They do hurt make sure you keep moving it as the freeze easily and that's even worse pain
Because for some unknown reason now days if you are going straight on you are suppose to be in the left hand lane, personally I never and still not see the logic in that change they made in the highway code, thus now being taught to new drivers. I find it really annoying and dam right dangerous when someone is in the left hand lane entering a roundabout, and you are waiting to pull out of the next junction of the roundabout, and they come flying around on the outside of the roundabout as if they were turning onto the first exit, to miss your bumper / nose by inches to just go straight on, has caused many accidents in the past, and will do so in the future.
Were the police called? if so what was their thoughts and are they prosecuting the car driver? It seems of late they do not want to prosecute car drivers these days if no one is seriously hurt, when it comes to bikes involved, even when the car driver is clearly in the wrong
Hope you mend, bikes always do. If the lanes are marked with arrows as to which one goes where, that will be helpful. Its highly unlikely that the middle lane is for a left turn. The HWC states When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise signal left and approach in the left-hand lane keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leave. When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise signal right and approach in the right-hand lane keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want. When taking any intermediate exit, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise select the appropriate lane on approach to and on the roundabout you should not normally need to signal on approach stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want. When there are more than three lanes at the entrance to a roundabout, use the most appropriate lane on approach and through it.
Do you have any personal injury insurance either from your bike or car insurance, if so then just get in touch with your insurance and use them to claim. if it's car insurance it docent matter because it you the personal injury insurance covers. O get well soon btw
Claims assist don't know what happened, or how you are suffering, except to the extent that you tell them.
That sounds a bit dangerous. Especially on a Mutley. Surely a trials bike would have been more suitable for riding over the top of a people carrier? What did the occupants think of your stunt?
