  1. Hi Guys

Anyone know if a 996 with 50mm Termis is likely to be under/over 103db?

    Cheers

  2. my 1198 with Termis made 101db , my old 996 used to be 100db but noise meters vary massively, where is running a 103 limit

  3. Mallory on Friday. Only £89. Thinking of doing my first track day :Nailbiting: if I can get the time off work, wife says yes and I shake the man flu.

I could use my 600 SRAD which i was intending on using next year as a track bike but it has no TAX or MOT and i'd need to ride it there unless someone fancies taking it up in a van for me :Angelic:

  4. Thought this was going to be pictures of @Ducbird :Wideyed:

  7. i'm always in trouble, its just the amount that varies.

  8. To try and answer your question, I ran a 748R with a 996 sps 50mm full system with (newish) race cans and it tested at 101 in the wet (usually quiter) and 102 in the dry, both times at Brands. Now even with the RS engine fitted, the bike has not been more than 103. Hope that helps. Andy

  9. Thanks, good to know.

Turns out they only have places in the fast group available. Now I've plenty of confidence of my abilities but i'm not sure the fast group would be advisable on my first TD.

Really fancy it now though, going to be a LONG wait till spring.

  10. If you are not far and can take the time off, you could always go on spec just in case there are any no shows. Often see blokes rock up at Brands on the off chance. If the weather is good, you could watch for a while and then shoot off on a run. Andy

  11. Nice idea but it's about 80mls and holidays are in short supply this year so would be shame to waste one.

  12. Absolutely agree. I'm semi retired now so no longer have that problem. So long as I do 21 hours a week, work don't mind what days I do the hours on. Still can't seem to fit in more track days though, probably due more to the fact I'd get hung if I went and my girlfriend couldn't come as well :). Andy

  13. Try Pembrey this weekend, I've got some baffles you can borrow if you are coming past Chepstow

  14. Kind offer but Pembrey won't be happening this weekend for me.
