  5. Its quite a strong statement to say that other members don't want him to be a member though isn't it? I doubt very much if 99% of members were consulted of his banning. More like he said something someone with power didn't like by the sounds of it. I've seen far worse things go unpunished because the poster is part of the gang.

The people that added a wealth of knowledge seem to be leaving the forum and it seems the ones who just post drivel not get banned. Hence why I don't pop in often anymore as its not the same place it was a year or so ago in my opinion.

  6. It was a voucher for £1000 worth of DP parts. Brembo dont make HPK 15mm offset discs no more, so will buy lots of tee shirts n jumpers etc. I may even buy a travel case. You know, for me 'ols,

  7. NZ?

  8. It's quite a strong statement to say the people with knowledge are leaving the Forum when many of the European members of ms have signed up here, including one of the most eminent of Ducati engine builders, all due to the much friendlier and open Forum with it's banter often been commented on. But you wouldn't have noticed this. I would hazard a guess that Forum Subscribers have increased massively since last winter looking at the amount of people saying hello over the last year.

  9. Perhaps you are right. I have assumed that most members are OK with posts which are informative, helpful, friendly, funny, controversial, provocative, contrarian, or even insulting or offensive. I have also assumed that most members would prefer to exclude posts which are vile, poisonous, threatening, abusive, or downright illegal. No-one was consulted about those assumptions.

So what do you think the attitude of most members is, then?

  10. "Occasionally a bit of banter gets naughty"? The issue here is not about naughty banter. It is about vile, poisonous, threatening posts.

  11. Are they mutually exclusive Pete? One persons funny is another's vile.

    Chubby Brown
    Chris Tucker
    Jimmy Carr

They are three quick examples of deciding opinions

  14. Now here's a question:
When you get banned and join again under another persona, do you go through the "Hello guys" first post phase, or just dive in where you left off?

    Ha-hah! Giveaway!
    :)
