  1. So what's your thoughts on this for next year? Can't see any threads on this.

  2. It's Audi dangling the carrot again. The 899 has only been out for about a year but already it's out of date even though it's been a huge success. No doubt Audi will be hoping current owners are going to put their hands in their pockets again to renew. And they say they're not devaluing the brand but with face lifts and tweaks all the time, soon it'll be like buying a Ford Escort and you'll have to decide between a MK1, MK2, Mk3, MK4...........

  3. Tbh, I think BigM and a few others may be slightly to harsh (just my opinion) we've seen the pictures, it has same suspension brakes etc as the current 899, just with a little more mid range I imagine which is something the magazines were all wanting, so it's 2 years and they responded with a small tweak... Fair enough I would say... And that's from someone who JUST bought an 899 because I really like the revvy nature and love the front of the original panigale!

  4. Yep; there's also a larger engined Hypermotard\Hyperstrada and I'm guessing, a larger engined and better suspended Scrambler, maybe using the old 1100evo engine? Maybe the Diavel 'cruiser' with belt drive seen in spy shots? Audi will want to cash in on their acquisition with as many 'niche' variants as possible.

  5. I think I will be changing from the 848evo next year, thinking the 899 is the natural move. Now I need to think 959. A few pics online, but isn't it an 899 with a 959. Confusing myself now.
I'm sure it will be great.

  6. It is 955cc yeah so should be about 150 ish horsepower if u consider they may well have had to give up a little power for Euro4 emissions (which may also explain why it's only been 2 years and they are updating it)

I think it will likely have a downshift blipper and some updated electronics, hey.... You never know it might even have a slipper clutch

  7. I was told March 2016, so say May, June delivery?

  8. I think December...

  9. I know what your saying but in all honesty do you not feel a bit miffed that you've parted with your hard earned cash to buy an 899 which is a fantastic bike only for it to now be out of date and devalued by a new model that more or less looks the same and it's only calling card is it has fractionally more power. I would.

  10. Around 13k

  11. Next year?

  12. BigM, should I feel miffed owning an 848? I don't but I see your point regards used values

  13. Honestly mate, nope. I bought a 848 Evo when I knew the 899 was coming and I thought I had done the right thing because I wanted a 'classic' ducati, and I must admit shortly after I really did regret it.... This time though I really think I am happy with this, I bought mine used (only 800 miles on the clock) for nearly £2000 off list and honestly I genuinely do think it's got a prettier face than the 1299. I can see others who paid full price maybe being a little miffed but I hope they did their research and at least 'knew' it was coming ;-)

  14. Also, all the prices seem to have gone up by £300 each, scramblers etc, so it's going to be over 13k, probably £13,500 would be my guess

  15. There will always be something new coming, at this rate the 959 will be replaced in 2018, can't keep waiting.
    It won't stop.

Anyway, so the 959 is an 899 with more poke.

  16. Only if the rider has more poke ;)

  17. You sound like me. I buy second hand and I'm not worried about having the latest model. Your 899 with 800 miles on it is still new in my eyes so why pay 2k more for a new one?. My opinion anyway. I bought my 1199S 10 months old with 1500miles for £15500. It's newest bike I've ever had!:Cigar:

  18. No thats a 11/1299

  19. Yes mate, was £11500 with termi's, ventureshield, seat cowl and gripper pegs, and even with the radiator guards, so everything I would have done myself. It's also only 8 months old so loads of warranty.
