Carole's daughter had her birthday present last night, Fallout Boy at the BICC. She went down by train with a couple friends at lunchtime and Carole and I drove down to pick them up. As a treat we had a meal in Tapas Plus which is not far from the balloon ride in the square. A family run bar, great atmosphere and fabulous authentic freshly made tapas by a Gallician chef. Kids had a great night and although nothing kicked off whilst we were there, I'm glad we decided to go and pick them up. Not glad about getting to bed at 2 am but only plan to slob today. Andy

Ive often read threads across forums where someones just bought a bike and asked the question "what can you lot recommend in the way of upgrades...?" and usually at some point someone will say "invest in your suspension..." Personally ive always thought...."well, its a spring....how can it spring any differently..." So, a couple of weeks ago this came up for my RSV4 - the lad had just got a track bike which came with a ttx on it so I got this just under half price... Bloody hell what a difference....I am a convert....so, I bought another one for the zed....this ones a race pro but the Zed is an R3 with HPA (hydraulic preload adjuster) 2 weeks for it to be built....the countdown begins....

Fixed the armoured cable and while I was at it, replaced the lawn floodlights with new LED floodlights. Just need to wait for darkness. There are 2 spare loops so thinking of driveway lamp standards, no idea what to get though.
Still recovering from yesterday's piss up at Magic Rock brewery tap. It all went wrong when we left and found the only way to follow what we'd been drinking was whiskey cocktails. Error.
Took 996 for a ride to Halfrauds the long way. Tricky to get knee down with 2 rattle cans stuffed down your front as they hit the tank when getting low on it. Fix for leaking front brake resivoir seems to have worked with new cap and diaphragm. Snapped a socket size converter in my brand new Blue Point hex socket on first nut and its jammed in. Gggrrrrrrrr.
Also decided to splash out on new chain and sprockets for SRAD. Old one is probably 16 years old and if I track her I expect that might strain it a bit. Does mean I also need a 32mm socket and a chain breaker/fitter kit. Getting quite a well stocked garage now.

Went to see my old mum this morning and on the way back this afternoon I went to #2 sons house for lunch then did some babysitting of grandchildren when SWMBO came to add support.
Today I was out on the 999, met up with Vince, Peter and Martin (& family) at Bogs Ill. Nice to see you guys! Chatted briefly with the ex No.2 after I got home ... And currently, I am dealing with the damage that results from asking yourself, "I wonder whether I can convert my Win10 laptop from a legacy BIOS to a modern UEFI with AHCI SATA capability?". I was off almost the whole week, WTF am I having to rebuild my sodding laptop Sunday evening? Frackfrackfrack :Banghead:
