Had my 848evo 2 years and love it BUT test rode a 1199 panigale just to see what it was like.... wow what a machine. The evo has taken me to Italian GP meetings and toured the Pyrenees and was fab. Going to the Austrian GP and Brno next year will the 1199 be a steed to do it on or should I keep the evo? Got a head v's heart thing going on and need some other opinions
2 very different beasts IMHO, u could buy another one if u regretted it surely? As long as u don't spend silly money on an 1199 then get rid in 6 months
Alstare, I don't know much about 848 v 1199 but Euro mpg rounds, now your talking. Have you a group you go with? I'm looking to do same, but my usual crew gone off the boil. Im planning on doing longer trips on my 899.
there is something alluring about the 1199 Pani. I had an 848, 1098s, now back on a 749s. Love the 9 series, a LOT, but do I have major wantage for the 1199 Pani.

I agree! If you get a 1199 and for whatever reason don't get on with it you could always go back to an 848 Evo. Personally I don't think you would regret it mind
Had my 848 for 4 years. Had my 1199 for 10 months. Now onto a 899. Admittedly the 1199 was written off but I never got on with it.
No idea . It was a better bike in every single way possible but ...meh The 899 is great too. Perfect for the road. But still doesn't excite me massively. My problem is that the 848 is a bit too old now for me and it'd never compare to the one I sold in terms of spec. I'll buy a 1098r one day and have done
It'll be same as a 899 but with another 6hp and the 1299 front. Oh and another £1k on the price. Still not thrilling for me. If they did a 899R then now we talking
do you think it will only be that much more bhp considering the extra cc's?? who knows? never been able to do that with any of the bikes i have ever owned
