  1. Mark my word mate after Saturday I will call ducati UK .he is not getting away with this . and another thing he got the cheek to tell me when service time comes to bring the bike to his workshop hahahah as if .I hate the place shity showroom its dark .they charge a lot for everything and in top their attitude .ducati needs to step in either to sort them out or pull the franchise from that place it's giving them bad name

  2. Do you think we, as customers, could petition Ducati? Might make a few more shops up their game if they thought their franchise could be pulled for crap service

  3. Standard DVT (non-S) only has yellow LED side lights with 2 x halogen dip & 2 x halogen main bulbs.

    Agree!

  4. Likewise J&L Carlisle have been good with my DVT - front brake reservoir leak - cap bolts retorqued, pannier lug broke and rubber tore on gear lever both replaced - all under warranty

  5. I must admit reading many posts regarding some issues really does seem like poor Dealer Customer Service and PDI issues. when I picked up my DVT, "The Guy who was handing it over knew I have had another one off them, and just said oh panniers and all are in the boxes" Then I mentioned it to him about a few broken clips etc. no messing panniers were out of boxes and showing me the best way to put them on etc. and personally you have to take some care especially if loaded, Now if right or wrong in design it is how you take them on and off there is a technique, get it right and never have an issue, get it wrong and you will break.

  6. Cheers . I'm loving the bike to the full can't fault it at all . but noticed mpg not great heard people getting 56 miles a gallon so far I done 120 and reserve light came on anyone else ?/

  8. A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from Ducati UK. Following on from buying a new DVT in May, they rang to ask about the buying experience, servicing, accessories, sorting out issues etc. They seemed to be really interested in my responses. Since the dealer was WM Snell, I was able to say honestly that they had been excellent: helpful, reliable, efficient, and truthful.

If Ducati UK do this regularly, any useless dealers will soon come to their attention I expect.

  9. The light going on at 120 seems par for the course. There's probably another 60 miles in it though - the light does come on very early.

  10. Don't forget there's 4 modes sport- low mpg, touring: mid mpg, urban- high(er)mpg. Enduro - dunno never tried it with any aplomb so divnee kna like!!
I'm getting 140 -150 miles+ to the fuel light depending on mode (1800 miles).

  12. Me and a mate tried to order two at the same time, a 1200 s and a touring for next march delivery. I've got a retail showroom myself and I really don't like the hard sell approach but I tell you what, if I had a Ducati dealership and a couple of the sales people I dealt with worked for me they wouldn't last 5 minutes, cocky, arrogant, and no selling skills at all.
Best part of £33k order lost on the phone after I chased one for a valuation on my part ex, not only was there no little sweetener at all he wouldn't reduce the amount of deposit to match another dealer and then offered me £1000 less for my bike than he'd initially said the day before. I've not had a single follow up call to see if I'm still interested, but after test riding a BMW R1200 rs the local BM dealer has called me asking what I thought and invited me back to try something else, and the sales guy was much more personable.

  13. Who we taking about here .no offence but what's to do with the question I asked lol .I owned BMW s1000r and tell u what never again

  14. Just crap arrogant dealers really, if the bikes are that easy to sell then they don't have to try to hard keeping the customers happy.

  15. Re your seat issue: I posted a thread (with pics) on here when I had delivery of my new DVT. If you do a search you will find it. Bike was and is great but the seat connection was and is lacking quality control. When I went to the main factory this summer and saw Ducati's lined up for test rides (around thirty) I made a point of looking at the seat fitting to see if mine was unusual. It is not. They ranged from nigh on perfect to looking as poor quality as yours does. I cant believe how much difference there is between the same parts ordered for the same bikes with the same spec. Seems if you get a good fit you are in the lucky element. Mine is pretty poor as yours is but I've sort of gotten used to ignoring it.

  16. Totally agree based on some of the ducati dealers I have come across.. Arrogant these bikes sell like hot cakes...we don't even have to bother coming up with good deals for you

Looking to potentially come back to the Ducati fold I must say the dealers I have spoken to have been pretty poor

  17. There are some good dealers out there and willing to do a deal to get a sale

  18. My dealer paid me little interest. He'd ask a question and then turn away and glaze over when I answered. Wasn't interested in the actual answer.

  19. Sorry Light but I do find this attitude confusing and depressing at the same time, why settle for sub standard when you've spent your hard earned ? Keeping quiet wont exactly encourage Ducati to tighten up quality control.
Have you ever bought a bike before where the seat doesn't fit properly ? I know I haven't and I've had plenty, and none of them cost me over 15k.

  20. Speedy120 another month on miles upto 2500 or so . Mpg 55-62 depending on touring or urban. Fuel light on at 160 miles and ranking up within 15miles of fuel light still 4 litres in the tank! So probably good for 200 to empty. My MY12 Kawi Versys 1000 did the same to 190 when fuel light came on but was 105 bhp not 139bhp!
