  11. :):upyeah:Bikers can be such nice people!

My office is on a residential side street. The parking area in front of our building is nowhere near big enough so most of us end up parking on the street, along with the local residents, builders' vans, skips etc. I park my Monster perpendicular to the kerb and try not to block anyone in.

A couple of days ago, I had a phone call from the receptionist at work to say someone had come into the office, asked if "the lady with the big red Ducati" works here an explained that they lived on the same street and had found a glove and thought I might have dropped it. They added that they really liked the bike! Sure enough, it was my glove which I must have dropped while locking my bike up.

Today I parked in the same spot. As I was taking my lid and gloves off, a man came out of the nearest house (in a blue stripy apron as if he was in the middle of cooking breakfast), told me he'd found my glove the other day and commented that my bike looked very exposed parked on the street. He introduced himself and explained that he too had a bike (a Honda 600). He then said I was very welcome to park on his driveway if I wanted, to get my bike off the street! (He has a nice area of block paving outside his house, easy acess from the dropped kerb). So as from tomorrow I have a nice parking spot, with much less danger of some yummy mummy in a Chelsea tractor or a white van man sending my bike flying with careless reversing into a tiny space.

  17. Had a challenging day arguing with the courier about not being able to tell me where they incorrectly delivered my parcel to "data protection act sir" . Still got my parcel eventually and all was forgotten as I sat a couple of cars back from a set of traffic lights. Twist and go scooter man in the lane next to me and two sports bike riders filtered up to the front. Lights changed and Mr twist and go scooter man left them both for dead. Laugh, I needed incontinence pants. Andy
