Really wanted Scotland to beat Australia. It was another tremendous game in what is turning out to be a classic World Cup. Joubert should not have been humiliated for what he would clearly recognise was a bad game for the refereeing team. Running off was out of order though. Overall I think the refereeing and use of TMO has been excellent. Very surprised that the late tackle just before the lineout (can't find it on youtube) that lost Scotland the game wasn't brought to Joubert's attention by his team. Scotland would have had a penalty and killed the game if it had been viewed. Kiwis will take some beating and Milner Scudder is what England needed
I stopped going to the footie. Never witnessed much violence I just didn't like the atmosphere between the fans. It just felt like things could kick off at any moment. I'm a lover not a fighter :Angelic:
Why ffs? My wife so therefore all my in laws are from the Glasgow area. I afford them the same support that they afford me (I'm English) when England are playing. Anyone. At anything. So we know what that means.... Have you ever sat in a boozer in Scotland when England are playing any nation. It ain't banter, its hatred.
i have always thought that soccer is such a lack luster non event of a sport that that is the reason fans get so pissed off and fight. 90 mins of boot boot boot any direction you want and falling over if someone looks at you funny only to wind up nil all or 1 fing nill is just stupid!!!
Why? Because we are superior and can rise above, but don't tell them, they don't like hearing the truth!
Fair do's. But there's no getting away from the fact that footie is by far the biggest sport in the world. I don't really like rugby. I find it frustratingly stop start with a heap of blokes grappling (hmmmm...) That said, I watched the Scotland v Samoa match which I quite enjoyed. It was flowing with loads of passing and big bang tackles. All in all I think its a bit '15 on the pitch, 20 in the bath' type of game.
it has to be stop start for a few reasons not the least being you couldnt physically run for the whole 80 whilst getting slammed to the ground and having to slam others. running and kicking a round ball may be tiring but having to put the extreme physical effort in that rugby demands as well as running like fck is something else. there is also a lot more depth in the rules of rugby due to the fact that despite what a footy fan thinks there is a lot more strategy involved. as far as the grappling goes, it is a contact sport, unlike soccer where any contact or the perception of it is frowned upon. rugby is played by men that like a challenge, soccer by girly types that like a nice haircut, a pink shirt and a suntan. ok gavin henson may also fit this bill but there is always one or two!!! as far as soccer being the biggest sport in the world, it may well be but that dont make it any good.. for example there is more people that watch the xfactor in the uk than the motogp.. go figure
You're right about the rules. I haven't a friggin clue. I played rugby and football at school and I'd defo get more injuries playing footie. But come on Mr. Chiz, rugby is a raging homo sport. Who's that big nasty Welsh fucker? Poo denter! He even told everyone. I saw it in a Guinness advert.
you got something against homos? (or did one have something against you?) you got more injuries playing soccer cause you are soft as shite and wernt playing rugby correctly (a broken nail is not a sporting injury btw) drink more milk, harden the fuck up and never watch soccer again... next
